From September 1 to November 1, The Upper Hudson library system is inviting you to go on an expedition. Did you know that your library card is a passport to 36 unique destinations? That’s how many public libraries there are in Albany and Rensselaer Counties.
The Upper Hudson Library Expedition is a fun way to explore your community, have fun, and learn new things. Starting on 9/1, you can stop into your local library and pick up a map to all 36 of Upper Hudson’s libraries. At every library you visit, make sure that they stamp your map.
Each library has a unique stamp. Here’s ours:
Recognize that guy? It’s the 21st President of the United States, Chester A. Arthur! He is buried here in Menands at the Albany Rural Cemetery.
You can earn prizes for visiting more libraries! When you’ve had your map stamped at 5 libraries, you get a bumper sticker and a temporary tattoo. 15 libraries? A button. 25 libraries? A spirit stick!
And if you visit all 36 libraries? You earn a certificate, and a special VIP library card for each person on your expedition team!
Join us on this epic expedition!
